How Do I Seek Assistance?

Who Is Eligible?

 

If you have a non-criminal issue with Ohio law or the Ohio justice system, you may be eligible for help through Legal Salute Ohio if you are one of the following:

•Active-duty status servicemembers within any branch of the military, rank E-6 or lower, who are Ohio residents, currently stationed in or out of Ohio

•Full-time members of the Ohio Army National Guard or Ohio Air National Guard, rank E-6 or lower

•Spouses of the above listed servicemembers

If you are a low-income active-duty servicemember or veteran looking for help with a civil legal issue, Operation Legal Help Ohio, a program of the Ohio Military/Veterans Legal Assistance Project, may be able to help you find legal representation at no cost to you.
